In an interview with Zoom, Esha revealed that she was expected to carry forward her parents and family legacy in acting. Esha was very excited about her debut. However, after her first film, Esha had to face a lot of criticism as people compared her to her mother who had worked in more than 200 films. Esha said, “After the films were released and things were written, the pressure started pumping. Then I felt, they are comparing me in my first film to my mother, who has done 200 films.”
Isha was trolled for her baby fat
Esha further revealed that after her debut film, she was compared to her mother and was also trolled for her baby fat. Esha said, “And they used to say a lot about my baby fat ‘Oh, she has too much baby fat. I had it, I was 18 years old, those cheeks. But they looked cute in those roles, the kind of roles I did, I thought they looked good.”
Mother Hema had given golden tip to Isha
Esha further revealed that she had talked to her mother Hema Malini about the negative comments she received for her first film. At that time, Hema Malini had also asked her to reconsider her decision to become an actress. Esha said, “Max said ‘Just focus on the goal, this is going to be a part of it, you are my daughter, there will be constant comparisons. If you want to let this affect you, then you are in the wrong profession. If you can handle it, then continue.’ So this was a golden tip that I got.”
